How to Draw Katara from Avatar:The Legend of Aang

Finally I am done with this tutorial of Katara from Avatar: Legend of Aang. This is requested tutorial(this is not the only way to draw but one of the ways). I am glad I am done with it. So here goes:

Step 1:

Start with a circle.

Step 2:

Put a vertical line where the the center of the face is supposed to be.

Step 3:

Draw the shape of the face and add guidelines for the mouth and the nose. Remember to keep all the guidelines light.

Step 4:

Roughly draw out the features of the face like eyes and mouth. Remember the the space between the eyes are equal to the length of the eyes.

Step 5:

Get into more details of those features but not too much yet.

Step 6:

Draw out the nose, ears and the guidelines for the hair and bits of details on the face like the eyesbrows.

Step 7:

Define the hair a bit more.

Step 8:

Start Drawing the neck proceed to the clothes.

Step 9:

Keep progressing. Roughly sketch the torso, arm and the clothes.

Step 10:

Draw the fingers and the lower body parts and also keep adding little guidelines but remember this is not the only technique.

Step 11:

Add details like braids, neclace and the eyes.

Step 12:

Careful not to miss any details like the wristbands.

Step 13:

Then start inking. After that erase the guidelines.

Step 14:

Then add tones and you are done!
